Amazon.com Product Description Best described as a cross between a skateboard and a snowboard, the Ripstik caster board is distinguished by its pivoting deck and 360-degree inclined caster trucks, which offers a snowboard-like carving ability. The RipStik "G" features a spinning aircraft-grade aluminum "G" tube in the center for extreme grinding action. Like the original Ripstik, the "G" moves you forward with a simple weight transfer that lets you turn or accelerate without pushing--just like when you're carving down the slopes.
The aircraft-grade aluminum tube in the center is ready for extreme grinding. | The board offers such features as spiked traction pads, a kick tail and nose, and a concave deck design, which combine to improve your foot control--a must for tricks. And thanks to the 76mm polyurethane wheels and precision ABEC-5 bearing casters, skaters will enjoy a smooth ride on almost any type of pavement. Designed for children 8 years and up, the Ripstik's plastic end platforms and metal torsion beam support up to 220 pounds. Key Features: - Inclined caster trucks
- Concave deck platforms
- Traction plates
- Kick nose
- Kick tail
- Rubber-padded handle
- Torsion bar
- 76-millimeter polyurethane wheels
- High-performance ABEC-5 bearings
- For ages 8 years and older
- 220-pound rider weight capacity

| Customer Reviews: Great board October 16, 2008 J. Perryman (TN) 29 out of 31 found this review helpful
This is a great buy for anybody. I saw my friend riding a wave board and he let me try it when I inquired what it was. It was a lot of fun and very addicting. He told me that if i bought one to get a waveboard because the waveboard was better that the ripstik because it had a smoother ride and it was better built. I went to Walmart and was looking at the wave boards and I saw the ripstick G. It looked a lot cooler so I bought it. To tell you the truth, this is the coolest board out there. I love this board and ride it everyday.
The only reason to buy this over a ripstick is if you are going to "grind", which is going on a rail. It is also better built and has a smoother ride than most other boards. If your going to buy it, buy it on Amazon. It's cheaper than anywhere else and it also gets you free shipping.
Love it!!! September 20, 2008 charlie horse (Texas) 12 out of 13 found this review helpful
My son loves this board! He is 9 years old and it took him a couple of days to get the hang of it, but with the help of the video that comes along with it, he has really gotten good on it. I would highly recommend this product. It is worth the extra money for the quality of this product.
Great Board- You won't put it down June 3, 2009 J. Sandman (Newtown, pa USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I'm an adult and I wanted to get a caster board after seeing one of the neighborhood kids riding one. He let me try it out and it was alot of fun and great exercise. I went to our local sporting goods store and originally bought the Wave board because it was on sale and the guy at the store told me it was made better than the ripstik. Took it home and it was ok but not as smooth or as easy to use as the neighbor's ripstik. After 2 weeks of use, the Wave board became increasingly difficult to use- the joints on the wheels did not feel like they were turning as fluidly, particularly uphill. Took the Wave board back to the store where they graciously returned it and bought the ripstik G. I don't intend to grind but I read some reviews that the G is smoother and more durable than the original ripstik. In addition, I have 2 boys who are now using my board constantly (I have since ordered a second one) and might like to do some tricks, plus the price was fine. The G is AMAZING. Significantly faster and smoother than the Wave. Going uphill is much easier. Carving is no problem at all. My 6 year old took to the G in no time. Our young neighbor has the Ripster (the smaller ripstik made for younger kids). I can see how that would be a good product for little kids just starting out but I will tell you that my son had no trouble picking up the full size G with some practice and he now rides like a pro. He is not into tricks yet but I can see it is coming. One word of caution is that the G is fast on hills. You really have to carve (go side to side) or you will fall and get hurt. In conclusion, this is a great product that I highly recommend. Do not waste your time (as I did) on other brands.
Excellent product!!!! September 16, 2008 Alejandro Herrera (Caracas, Venezuela) 8 out of 10 found this review helpful
My 10 years old learned to use these type of boards last december with a chinese wave, 4 months later he was an expert the next it broke. With this new Ripstik G he has resumed his learning and doing tricks. THIS IS THE REAL ONE!!!! - Don't waste your money in anything different, this product is designed for tricks and with a simple look at it you will see is a heavy duty product.
I highly recomend it - I will let you know within a year.
Excellent product!!!
