SP2/Spoon Nose II Concave: Spoon Nose II (SP2) is a re-issue of the classic Powell-Peralta Golden Age mold that the original Bones decks were made from. SP2 features a spoon nose kick tail with a slight concave intended for making 10 by 30-inch style decks. SP2 decks are non-symmetrical nose to tail and have a 19 degree tail angle, a 5 degree nose angle, a 9-inch tail radius, and a 7.5-inch nose radius with a maximum wheelbase of 17.25 inches. Powell-Peralta Board Construction: Powell-Peralta decks are manufactured in the same Santa Barbara skateboard factory, directed by some of the same craftsmen that made them originally. Skate One designed and fabricated AirLam low pressure air bladder presses are used to laminate seven-plies of fine-grade American, hard rock maple, with high strength, water resistant glue. Each deck is sealed against moisture with a water-based acrylic semi-gloss finish. Silk-screened decks are given an additional coat of clear acrylic to add protection to the multi-layer ink coating. Powell-Peralta decks are precisely controlled in thickness for optimum performance and warranted against de-lamination for the useful life of the deck.
